Vedant Foundation

Our Story

In 2015, Vedant Foundation’s Founder, Dr. Arjun Dave, started informally conducting programs and trainings related to education and women empowerment. In 2018, he, along with co-founder CS Raj Soni, formally established Vedant Foundation with the simple yet noble intent of contributing to the betterment of society.

Dr. Arjun himself was born and brought up in a small village. He witnessed first-hand the lack of educational resources and information in villages. He saw the gap between villages and cities widening as the children lagged compared to their city-based counterparts. He realised that every child especially the girl child deserves to get a quality education so that equal opportunities are available to all.

He worked very hard against all odds and even secured a PhD. Today, he runs Vedant Educational Services along with the Vedant Foundation.

Our Inspiration

Dr. Arjun was inspired by individuals like Rajnibhai Patel and Jagdish Trivedi and organizations like Ramakrishna Mission and Vivekanand Kendra.

He attended and volunteered at activities, events and camps organised by Ramakrishna Mission and Vivekanand Kendra. Both organizations taught him the importance of educational and philanthropic work.

Dr. Arjun met Rajnibhai Patel while being associated with Vivekananda Kendra. Rajnibhai had started a college, a non-profit organization as well as an Educational Trust. He had organised various service-related activities and worked for different causes such as the upliftment of the girl child, cow protection, blood donation camps to name a few. His actions and words greatly influenced Dr. Arjun.

Jagdish Trivedi, a comedian and author, vowed to donate Rs. 11 Cr. for social work in the presence of Morari Bapu. When Dr. Arjun saw this, he was inspired to do something himself. He contemplated that if people could devote themselves to such causes even at the age of 50 then he would be able to make a big impact if he started at 30 years. So, he did not waste another minute and started walking down the path of duty while keeping dharma in mind.

Our goals

One of the goals of the Vedant Foundation is to educate 1.6 million girls between the ages of 10 to 15 years about menstrual hygiene. We plan to do this by conducting the I’m Ready - Menstrual Hygiene Program in government and semi-government schools. We have also created a self-defense training program for girls and women. Both of these are conducted free of cost.

Our other goals include bringing about positive changes in the field of education by introducing new methods of teaching e.g. STEM. We work closely with educational institutes to guide them on how they can keep up with the changing times.

We also feel strongly about supporting educators and academicians. We have established the Educator Excellence Award to recognise and celebrate educators who go the extra mile to help their students. We also conduct conferences and competitions to encourage academicians to submit research papers, The goal is to make sure we support those thinkers who can change the world with their dedicated work.

Whom do we serve

We are committed to serving the youth in towns and villages specifically at the Taluka level. All our initiatives revolve around education and women’s empowerment. By training adolescent girls, we hope their school dropout rate will decrease and they develop the self-confidence to face the world.

We try our best to contribute to relevant causes in whatever way we can. We have set-up a stationery package donation drive for girl students which will be distributed once schools resume. The money collected during the registration of the conference conducted by Vedant Educational Services was donated to Vedant Foundation. This money was in turn used to support the migrant workers and others who were indirectly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our foremost goal is to promote education and awareness in towns and villages because they need it the most. We will also continue to work on making the educational services in India at par with the world. We hope to reach children, parents, teachers and the entire community through our initiatives and bring about a change.
